Getting Twitterpated

I'm not sure why, but I'm being followed on Twitter by a few people. Thanks for wanting to follow me, and I'll try to be interesting, but I'm not making any guarantees.
In the meantime, if you've been wondering what all the fuss is about Facebook, Twitter, etc., or if you want to make those sites useful for you, besides hearing about what your friends are having for dinner, or taking quizzes that will probably just make you dumber, I've written an article about the social networking boom.
